Overview of Lesser Sunda Adventure

Nusa Tenggara refers to the tightly packed necklace of sparsely inhabited Islands to the east of Bali where in Dutch times these island were known as the “ Lesser “ or Estern Sunda`s. The Island of Nusa Tenggara which consist of : Lombok, Sumbawa,Komodo, Flores, Sumba, Timor and other smaller Island are formed by the petruding peaks of mountain range and devided into two range which the southerly part is older and non volcanic (forming the island Sumba,Sawu,Roti and Timor) and notherly part is more intensively and actively volcanic`range that dominates Sumbawa,Flores,Lombok and a chain of smaller islands. Indigenous beliefs in the spirits of nature and ancestral spirits are still widely held on most of the Island.
