Terms and Conditions


To all my expecting guest, when you are sure to book your who run by Sunda Adventure Tours please do not hesitate to e-mail us through reservation form or facsimile, or short message service for everybody on that will be applying. Space is limited on each trip and many adventure trips sell out early. Sunda Adventure Tours suggest you to book place as soon as you know when you want to travel. We will still accept last minute booking but it is depend on the flight seat availability prior departure for Individual Adventures and 1 week prior to departure for Group Adventures. When all the arrangements regarding your tour such as room, transportation, tour guide, etc are available as soon as possible we will send you the confirmation by e-mail or facsimile or short messages service together with pro-form invoice.

We have found through our own extensive travels that large resorts and chain hotels often isolate travelers from locals at their destination. We believe in giving our participants a richer experience by immersing them in the local culture and economy, instead of merely exposing them to more tours. For your trip to Sunda Islands stay in small hotels, guest houses, inns and in some cases beach bungalows. These will vary from island to island, but in all cases the accommodation will usually be owned and operated by local people. This way, your money will be supporting the local people of the island you are visiting and not large corporations.

Food and Beverages
On our tour packages we give you some options ; full board or half board packages with daily breakfast and refreshments en route. For lunch and dinner, it will be advised by our tour guides of recommended restaurants owned and operated by locals. In many cases, water will be provided for free, however, in some areas drinking it wouldn’t be a good idea. Our guides will always be on hand to inform you when and where water is safe to drink. We highly recommend bringing a bottle of water with an in-line filter system. Although you will have the opportunity to order food which is like that you normally eat at home, we trying all the local specialties. After all, food is a major part of any vacation or trip, as well as a major part of any country’s culture and you just may discover a few new favorites.

Guided Tours ;
Our tour guides all come from the native know all the ins and outs of the destination in question. They are also knowledgeable about spots not on the map or sites well off the beaten tourist track. Our guides are savvy people with their own particular specialties that vary from guide to guide and island to island. Most of our guides speaking English but for Sunda Adventure expecting guest we will try the best to have another languages spoken it depend on your request if you are really don’t understand of English.

Due to the lack of public transportation access to tourist attractions, we have included private transportation for the group. The size of transportation will depend on the number of participants in a trip. All groups will be transported in a non air-conditioned coach.. For you trip to Komodo, Rinca, Lembata, Alor and few other islands, we will use a motorized wooden boat with cabin, non cabin or Air condition boat [upon request] that has been designed to carry tourists around this area.

Flight tickets ;
It is suggested to buy an international airline tickets from your travel agent in your country. There are two international airports, Denpasar Airport and Mataram Airport that have access to our various adventure trips. We suggest you to buy domestic airline tickets locally. We are happy to assist in reserving and securing a seat for you. This recommendation is made due to the fact that the airline offices in towns of Lesser Sunda Islands prefer the passenger to pay them directly. This allows them to give priority to our seat reservations. Make at least 1 day staying in Bali due to the flight schedules change, delay or force major before you make the trip to / from Nusa Tenggara. Don’t do flight connection between domestic flight and international flight on the same day.

Payment :
To avoid hassle prior to departure from your original country, deposit or payment transfer and full payment are required. The due date and account number will be sent to you at the time we sent you that trip confirmation. Payment can be made in IDR, Euro, Australian Dollar, Singapore Dollar or Yen based on the official exchange rate at the time of transaction.

Tour Prices
The prices of your chosen trip is subject to increase without prior notice, even after you receive a confirmation from our side. We obtain our prices well in advance of trip departure, often over than a year. Between that time and actual departure, we are occasionally faced with significant price increases which we cannot absorb, especially those caused by international currency fluctuations. We regret this situation and do everything we can to avoid raising prices, but sometimes it is unavoidable.

Cancellation & Refunds
No cancellation fee will be applied on land costs if the cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to departure date. But 25% cancellation fee will be applied within the 7 days prior departure or in case of no show. No partial refunds are possible for unused meals, hotel rooms, sightseeing, etc. If your airline tickets were purchased through our office, you will receive whatever refund is allowable by the airlines.

Canceled Trips
Sunda Adventure Tours reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient participants or logistical problems such as acts of God, war, strikes, etc. which may impede trip operations. In this case a full refund of the land cost shall release Sunda Adventure Tours from any further liability. Sunda Adventure Tours is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for the adventure such as non-refundable air tickets, visa costs, etc.

Travel Insurrance
Sunda Adventure Tours is highly recommends that you purchase travel insurance. You are entirely responsible for arranging travel insurance on your own, prior to trip departure. We are accepts no liability for travelers who do not carry traveler’s insurance.

Medical Information
Participation in Sunda Adventure Tours trips require that you are in good health. It is essential that persons with any medical problems or dietary restrictions make them known to us well before departure. We can then counsel you on whether the adventure trip you have selected is right for you. Our tour escort has the right to disqualify any participant at any time during the trip if he or she feels the participant is physically incapable and/or if a participant’s continued participation will jeopardize either the individual involved or the group. There will be no refund give under these circumstances.
Sunda Adventure Tours is not a medical facility and therefore has no expertise nor responsibility regarding what medications or inoculations you and your private physician should decide necessary for your safe participation in the trip. Hospital facilities for serious medical problems are unavailable in Lesser Sunda Islands and evacuation will be prolonged, difficult and expensive. Sunda Adventure Tours assumes no liability regarding the provision of medical care.

Drugs
Drug offenses in Indonesia are treated as very serious crimes. Sunda Adventure Tours assumes no liability for participants in our trips who are arrested for drug-related criminal activities. In such instances, the trip leader will contact the participant’s home embassy or consulate about the incident. Sunda Adventure Tours and the trip escort will be released from any other further liability. Refunds will not be given under these circumstances. To protect yourself and to protect us, do not attempt to bring illicit narcotics with you on our trips. The trip escort or guide has the authority to expel any participant from a trip at any time if the participant is discovered in the possession of illegal drugs.

Single Travelers
All land costs are based on twin or double occupancy. If you are a single traveler and wish to share accommodations, we will match you with a roommate if one is available, or room you with the guide. If you prefer single accommodations, you must pay the single supplement. Single arrangements are not always available in wilderness locations.

Limitation of Liability
Sunda Adventure Tours gives notice that services provided in connection with its itineraries, including transportation, hotel accommodation, restaurants and other services are purchased from various independent suppliers who are not affiliated with Flores Trails in any way. Although it endeavors to choose the best suppliers available, Sunda Adventure Tours has no right to control their operations and therefore makes these travel arrangements upon the express condition that Sunda Adventure Tours shall not be liable for any delay, mishap, inconvenience, expense, irregularity, bodily injury or death to person or damage to property occasioned through the conduct or default of any company or individual engaged in providing these services. Each of these passenger conveyance companies, hotels, restaurants, etc. is subject to the laws of Indonesia.
Sunda Adventure Tours shall not be liable for: a) expenses such as additional hotel nights and meals not specified in the trip itineraries that ma be required either en route, prior to or following a trip, when caused by individual clients’ travel arrangements, by airline scheduling or airline scheduling changes, canceled flights, miss flight connections, or by other factors not under Flores Trails control, b) expenses incurred in recovering luggage lost by airlines, belongings left behind on a trip, or in shipping purchases home from abroad, c) bodily injury or property damage for any reason, including but not limited to acts of God, weather, quarantine, strikes, civil disturbance, theft, detention, annoyance, changes in government regulations, terrorism, war, etc.
