Day 01 DENPASAR - LABUAN BAJO - RINCA
Upon arrival in Labuan Bajo meeting services, then transfer to harbor to take boat to Rinca - one of the two main islands in Komodo National Park. Lunch will be provided on board. Arrival at Rinca, anchor the boat then take a short walk to the ranger station where one have to report and pay Conservation Fee USD 15/person. Ranger in charge will lead visitors through the suitable path to trace the Komodo Dragons and wilds. There are wild buffaloes, horses, deer, mega pod bird, Long tails macaque, various bids, and of course Komodo Dragons it self. It take 2 (two) hours trek. Return to boat and overnight on board. The captain and guide will decide whether anchor in Loh Buaya or sail straight to Kalong in Komodo Island. Overnight and dinner onboard or stay at ranger's house. (Lunch - ner)
Day 02 RINCA / KALONG - KOMODO - LABUAN BAJO
In the morning set the sail to Komodo passing through narrow straits with strong current. Arrive in Komodo follow the trail to reach Banunggulung - the former feeding place to see Komodo Dragons and other wild life. It is about 2 (two) km one way walking. Return to boat then sailing to Labuan Bajo with stop at Pantai Merah - Pink colored sand Beach. Enjoying the beautiful coral garden, swimming, snorkeling or just relax on the beach. Lunch will be served on board. Proceed to Bidadai next chance for swimming, snorkeling or just relax on the white sand beach. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Return to Labuan Bajo direct to Batu Cermin - the cave with stalactites and stalagmites [Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner]
Day 03 LABUAN BAJO - RUTENG
Breakfast at the hotel then drive direct to Ruteng, with chances for photo stops en route stop at Cara Village to see the spider web shaped rice fields are located (if time permits) Lunch will provided in Ruteng. After lunch visit Ruteng Puu - the village with adat house and Compang - the shrine / ancestor worship sacred place of Manggarai people Dinner and overnight at Hotel. [Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner]
Day 04 RUTENG - BAJAWA
Ruteng is a small town in the backbone of Flores and neighbor to the Ruteng Nature Conservation Park where the home of Ngkiong - the endemic singing birds existed. It is worth to visit the Park early in the morning to attend the nature's concert of singing birds (if no rain and strong winds). There is a newly popped up volcano of Ranaka 2.300 m above sea level. Take your chance to have closer look. Continue afterwards to Bajawa with beautiful panoramic views and photo stops it will be done. The first stop will be at Mano - spectacular views of rice terraces, Ranamese - a crater lake with cloud forest, Aimere - the home industry of Arak liquor distillation as local's daily cash income. Lunch will be in Bajawa. In the afternoon visit Wogo - one of big traditional village in Ngada ethnic. [Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner]
Day 05 BAJAWA TOUR
After breakfast excursion to Bena passing through huge and gigantic bamboo plantation, panoramic views of Inerie Volcano and take short walk in the vicinity. Arrive in Bena see traditional houses, megalithic tombs, and learn the meaning of Ngadu and Bhaga symbolizing male and female ancestral spirit. Return to Bajawa for having lunch. Drive to Soa with stop in Naru beautiful panoramic views. Arrive in Soa visit Mengeruda hot spring. Take a bath or just relaxation. Return Bajawa for dinner and overnight (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)
Day 06 BAJAWA RIUNG
After breakfast drive down to Riung with some photo stops. There is Nature Conservation Park in Riung mainly to protect under the water ecosystem. Take your chance to explore the islet of shore - known for beautiful coral gardens with white sandy beach. There is an island with unspoiled mangrove forests inhabited by thousands of huge fruits eating bats. Take your chance to explore the park for whole day program. Picnic lunch will be provided. Return to Hotel for dinner and overnight. (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)
Day 07 RIUNG - ENDE - DETUSOKO / MONI
Morning drive to Ende, take some photo stop en route. It is worth to stop at Penggajawa beach - where the people collecting blue gravels for inter insular trading. Upon arrival in Ende visit the Exile House of the late Mr. Soekarno - the world famous Indonesian Founding Father. Ende is the place where Mr. Soekarno got an inspiration about PANCASILA - the Five Philosophic Principal of the Nation of Indonesia. Drive towards Nusbosi until reach the vantage point for the wide-angle view over the Ende town, which is beautifully located on the coastal area fortified by volcanoes. Lunch will be in Ende. Then proceed to Wolotopo - the typical coastal village of Lio ethnic with animistic shrine and ikat weaving. Afternoon drive to Detusoko or Moni Dinner and overnight at Hotel (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)
Day 08 DETUSOKO / MONI - KELIMUTU - MAUMERE
It is worth to experience the sunrise at Kelimutu - the three colored crater lakes (start at about 4 o'clock). Once arrive in Kelimutu one will find something like nowhere, incomparable with known told stories - photo or even moving pictures have you been before. Drive then down hill and visit some villages such as Koanara, Ranggase in Jopu area with traditional houses try to comprehend the Lio ethnic daily life and to understand their work of civilization. Such as the typical Lio Houses; some of them are decorated with breast figure as to symbolize the fertility and prosperity. The Lio people also well-known for ikat weaving - the tie-dyeing weaving technique. Lunch will be in Paga Beach. In the afternoon return to Maumere. (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)
Day 09 MAUMERE - KUPANG
Morning free program, until the time transfer to the airport for flying to Kupang in Timor, Upon Arrival in Kupang airport meeting service and direct transfer to hotel for check in and lunch. In the afternoon sightseeing if time is permitted today's program is visiting Kupang Regional Museum, Kupang downtown and Lokabinkra - the handicraft center. Dinner and overnight at hotel [Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner]
Day 10 KUPANG - KEFAMENANU
Timor is the home of several ethnic groups who inhabit the mostly the dry island for centuries ago the island known for the fragrant trees - the Sandalwood which drove the Portuguese to occupy the land, despite the very early contact with western civilization, the people are still very strong in keeping their old traditions and believe. The further inland you the more chance you get contact with the indigenous people with their unique traditional houses. There are chances to stop en route such as the forest next to Soe where you can see the Sandalwood trees. Lunch will be in Soe. Continue the trip to Kefamenanu direct check in to the hotel. Afternoon visit Oelolok, home of the former King of Insana. There are famous Ikat weaving and Supplementary Weaving known as Sotis, Lotis, and Buna. The woman weave sarongs under the umbrella shaped granaries. [Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner]
Day 11 KEFAMENANU - KUPANG
In the morning visit the market of Kefamenanu, Maslete traditional village where you can find the animistic shrine. En route to Kupang stop in Soe for lunch and for those who are interested in collecting locally made souvenirs Soe is the good place to shop such articles. Afternoon visit a family who is producing Sasando - a typical palm leaf made harp. It is traditional music article originally, from Rote [Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner]
Day 12 KUPANG - WAINGAPU
Morning free program, until the time transfer to the airport for flying to Waingapu, up on arrival welcome service and transfer to hotel for lunch. Afternoon visit the traditional village of Prailiang, it is a beautiful drive through the savannah of the north coast of Sumba. There are buffaloes, cows and horses roaming the field. The village is existed on the hilltop over valley of Mondu half cut by a river. Short walk to the village is must. There are ten traditional houses but six only permanently occupied. Return to Waingapu visit the villages nearby such as Kawangu and Prailiu to comprehend more about making process of the well-known Sumba Ikat weaving textiles Return hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 13 WAINGAPU - WAIKABUBAK
After breakfast drive to Waikabubak, en route stop at Anakalang, where the huge carved stone tombs existed. Proceed to Waikabubak for lunch. Afternoon visit the villages nearby the town such as Tarung, Waitabar, Paletilulu, to comprehend more about their daily life. In those villages one you can find the unique high roofed houses, the stone tombs and even still see ANDUNG - the branched wood pole used to hang the skull of the villager enemies after the inter clan war. Day 14 WEST SUMBA EXCURSION
Visit the weekly market West Sumba on Wednesday and East Sumba on Saturday. There are many traditional villages in West Sumba. It is worth to be visited the villages in Kodi area where the tallest - almost as high as the tall of coconut trees - the traditional houses, the home of Merapu believers. Arrive in Kodi area visit some villages such as Ratengaro, Parona Baroro. Picnic lunch will be at Tossi beach. There are virgin white sandy beaches. Take your chance to enjoy the nature beauty. Afternoon visit Bondo Kawangu and if possible meet the Pasola Priest in Tossi village. Return to Hotel for dinner and overnight. [Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner]
Day 15 WEST SUMBA EXCURSION
Early in the morning drive southwards and then trek to Sodan - the village of Rato - the Pasola Priest of Lamboya. It is walk with panoramic views, passing valley cut by the river with rice fields and roaming buffaloes. After face by face with Rato walk down the hill till reach the spot called SODAN POINT - from here one will view the beautiful Sodan valley furnished by villages with traditional houses soaring from coconut trees and garnished with snake bent Kadengar river. Trek along the valley until reach the bridge at the other side and take car to Marosi Beach for picnic lunch and get you refreshed by swimming or just relaxing on the white sandy beach. Return to hotel with stop at Pasola field of Lamboya. [Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner]
Day 16 WAIKABUBAK - TAMBOLAKA - NEXT DESTINATION
In the morning transfer to the airport of Tambolaka then take flight to your next destination. [Breakfast]
